Pale golden color;thin, white head. Sweet , malty aroma with vegetable notes. The taste is equally boring. Malty, blank, and hard to remember. Poor, mass-market lager.

While it isn’t complex in either flavor profile or smell, it serves its purpose well. I’m drinking a couple of these in the large bottles with fabulous food local specialties. It has flavor and character. And while it’s characterized as an American adjunct lager, it’s much more, given the state of American macro brewed lagers today. I’m in Taiwan visiting, and while many actual American lagers flood the market here, this beats them hands down. So, on a hot humid day, with exquisite Chinese food in Taipei, this is just right and hits the spot! If you’re in Taipei, look for the brown bottle.

I honestly could not tell any difference between this (Classic) and the normal Taiwan Beer. Both are thin, watered down, bitter, over-carbonated and foul. There you go, not too much more to say. The 18 version is worlds apart, that one is a great beer - this one is not, sorry.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
