Pours like a cola with virtually the same color, and no head and a quick, thin stream of carbonation. Smells like sweet caramel being lightly smoked; not sure that these two scents work in conjunction. Tastes kind of like a smoky, slightly spicy cola. Sharp mouthfeel; given the tiny bubbles and thin body it feels, again, like drinking a cola. Overall, it isn't unpleasant but it reminds me of some kind of "limited flavor" cola rather than a relaxing porter.

Received as a Christmas gift, and aged one year.
Dark brown bordering on black and appears somewhat cloudy. Typical porter color. One finger of quick dissipating head. On the nose I get just the slightest touch of some Chipotle and a bit of roast and sweet milk chocolate. On the palate i get some more milk chocolate, some chipotle, maybe just a bit of some black malt/ ashy flavor. I can also feel a ever so slight heat from the chipotle. Alcohol is very minimal on the palate and only reveals itself as a slight warming in the stomach. Pretty nice overall but nothing truly astounding. A great gift to be received and its even nicer to have it aged a year.
