Nearly jet black, massive tan head, tons of lace as well here. Smell is full of spice, anise, nutmeg and cinnamon, there is a dark malty side to this as well, slightly nutty but spice is the driving force behind this but i'm not put off despite my indifference to spiced beers. Taste is also spicy but not to the extent the nose lets you believe, malty with a light roast, nutty, anise, nutmeg with some chocolate in the aftertaste. Pretty good despite being spice heavy and off style, better than the previous ratings lead you to believe.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a generous dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry fruits with some sweet cherry notes and some intense coriander notes is quite unique. Taste is a very unique mix of dry fruits with very dominant sweet notes with some strong coriander notes. It seems like every flavours has been made more intense than in any other beer I’ve taste but almost to the point where things get gross. This is a real sipper and something I would recommend sharing between larger group.

Appearance: It has a nice jet black color to it. It has a nice creamy brown head that dies down slowly and leaves very nice lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of coriander, black licorice, anise, some chocolate, sweet caramel, herbal hops, some dark fruit and perhaps some rosemary.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has corriander, anise and black licorice (overbearing), faint chocolate, an earthy/grassy bitterness and herbal notes.

Mouthfeel: It has a low carbonation with a decent overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a smooth drinkable beer accompanied with okay flavors and aromas. This beer is kind of all over the place. Not too fond of it.
