Very dark, with slight ruby edges. Alcohol and stone fruit in the nose. Taste of plum, red wine, raspberry, and a pleasant alcoholic burn that compliments the other flavors. At once slightly tart and sweet. Medium-light bodied. This beer is a swirl of flavors that somehow work well together. Great sensory experience, possibly the best beer (out of 24) I brought back from Quebec.

L: A viscous looking light brown. Thick tan/beigish creamy looking head - likely attributed to the amount of wheat and body. Fairly cloudy. Decent retention and lacing.
S: Very medicinal. I get clove, a bit of menthol, and some slight alcohol. Some dark fruit notes come through, but the beer was heavily phenolic.
T: Less medicinal and more malty and fruity. I some bready, sweet caramel-type malt. A bit of dark fruit - think something along the lines of dates. A fairly strong maple flavour is followed by a bit of sherry and port-like notes in the finish. Bitterness is low and the beer is sweet, but it's not cloying. Alcohol is fairly noticeable, but given that the beer is 9.5% it's well restrained.
F: Viscous. Perhaps one of the the most 'oily' beers I've ever had. Its thick but also slick feeling. This is not displeasing, however. It's chewy and I could see it be a challenge to drink more than one of these.
O: A decent beer. Nice and warming on a cold winter's day. However, the phenols in the beer could be tied down better and complemented with some banana or more estery flavours.

Serving: Bottle
Bottled on: A-10 (whatever that means). The year was blank.
A:
Pours a super dark copper that lets not light through with a middling tan head that is gone before you know it. Poor retention; no lacing. (3)
S:
Leathery dark fruits. Raisins, molasses, dark fruit, mulled wine, vinous. (3)
T:
Sweet, pungent red wine flavor. Tart, vinous, malty, dark fruits, heaps of raisins, really medicinal punch at the end. (2)
M:
Astringent, puckering, bitter, sweet, sticky, shudder-inducing. Medium body, lingering aftertaste (not a good one, either), okay carbonation. (2)
O:
Weird beer that tastes nothing like any Weizenbock I've ever had.
I honestly thought it might be infected at first, but I am pretty sure that it wasn't since none of the weird things were too over-blown and it tasted like they were all supposed to be there (god only knows why).
Beer is tart and vinous with a real red wine tannin flavor to it and some leathery raisin in the background. It is at once sweet and tart, malty and bitter, but they are all pretty out of whack. Drain poured it, although I did give it my all.
Would not have again. (2)

Look: beer is dark red almost black with a brownish white small head.
Smell: smells a bit like cherry coke, chocolate, has a sweet smell to it
Taste: does not taste like it smells, flavour is cherry...ish, taste is not long and becomes bitter with a finish of buckley cherry syrup, has a little hint of chocolate. No real strong alcohol aste for the 9.5% which isthe best part about the taste
Feel: very thick in the mouth, medium carbonation but lots for the style of beer, leaves you with a dry tongue after swallowing, but overall good feel
Liked the beer i would buy another, on this cold night in quebec -29 degrees its very warming

App: dark reddish brown with copper hue
Nose: cherry, chocolate, coffee, porto, caramel/brown sugar, roasted malt and a bit of smoke and red fruits.
Taste: same as the smell with pumpernickel bread, some more spices, red wine, sultana raisin, dark fruits. Bready and very malty. The finish got a lighlty grassy, earthy bitterness from the hops and some sweetness and spices from the malts. Some notes can be reminiscent of a black forrest cake, cola and also Dr. Pepper !
This beer is big and in your face! Its bold, its complex and packed with flavors. It is on the sweet side, which can be off putting for some, but not for me. I actually like this beer for its unusual caracter and its richness. Great before/after a meal. Can act as a dessert aswell or be paired with dark chocolate, kinda like a porto. Its a sipper. A cigar or some pipe tobacco would be fitting for this one. But thats just my opinion. Worth a try.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy brown color bock with a small foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of tart vinous notes with residual sugar notes is pretty gross. Taste is also dominated by weird unrefined grainy notes with some tart vinous notes and too much residual sugar. Body is full with medium carbonation. Doesn’t taste even close to a Weizenbock with very poor drinkability.

Smell of spices, herbs, anise, alcohol
In mouth, a strond and unpleasant sour taste attacks the palate. Very spicy with aromas of anise, coffee, brown sugar.
Bitterness is moderated, sweet and bitter.
Far from a traditionnal weisenbock. Looks like they add a lot of spices and artificial flavors to give us this "complex weisenbock". I'd say it's similar to their gruit beer
