Rousse from Brasseurs Du Monde. I bough a 12 pack for 16,99$

Look: Red/brown amber color. Not much for head.

Smell: Mint, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, frosted flakes.

Taste: A bit of a let down... , some malt, caramel and thats it

Feel: Nice but the caramel cuz away, nothing about that mint in the smell I got. medium body, medium carbonation.

So overall would I recommend? Sure, nothing bad but nothing to exciting either.

341ml bottle poured into tulip 31/3/12, thanks hoser for the bottle

A clear dark amber with zero visible carbonation and not much for head or lace

S corn flakes, nutty chocolate and more cornflakes, at least the cornflakes arent soggy and sour

T a little toffee to go with what I smell, but for the most part its a malty mess that's not quite right, lots of old cold tea bag comes out on the finish

M a little thin and pretty flat, not much too brag about here

O this one just didn't do it for me, the malt profile isn't quite right, reminds me a little of Iced Tea

not something I'd bother with again or go looking for if I was you, I'm not going to complain if this one doesn't hit the shelves here in Alberta

12oz Bottle

Appearance - The beer pours a light reddish brown colour with an average size fizzy beige coloured head. There appears to be an average amount of carbonation and there is some decent lacing on the sides of the glass. The head lasted for minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Chocolate, malts, roasted nuts, smoke

Taste & Mouth - The beer has an above average amount of carbonation and I can taste chocolate mixed with malts and and a bit of a smokiness. These flavours are all very light though.. There is also a bit of a metallic flavour going on. the beer finishes with a malty slightly bitter aftertaste.

Overall – The taste is balanced and pleasant, and the beer is very sessionable. I'd like a little bit less carbonation though. It's not something I'd buy again simply due the fact that is pretty basic/boring.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a nice foamy head with OK retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt with lingering sweetness is interesting. Taste is also mostly dominated by caramelized malt notes with light sweet notes. Body is about average with nice creamy texture and good carbonation. No brewing flaws but nothing extraordinary about this one.

Poured from a 341ml. bottle.

Appearance: Half the glass is filled with a creamy head. Lasts a few minutes, pockmarked and puffy before reducing to a thin ring. Body is a sort of clear amber body that approaches more orange than red.

Smell: Strong malt nose, nuts, tinge of fruit and some caramel.

Taste: A wave of malt takes over the flavor with barely a hint of hops in the whisper of bitterness. Nuts, caramel and a mild sweet touch round out the taste.

Mouthfeel: Creamy with a clean body and an irresistible smoothness.

Overall: Nothing complex but has some good elements. A pleasing malty ale that would serve as a good gateway beer.
