Brought back from Montreal.
L: purs a dark deep amber with a head that lasts just a bit.
s:the smell is of dark malts and some hops underneath. a sweet smell with distinct Rye.
T: much deeper taste than expecting. Bitter, with a nice but certainly not overpowering hop presence. A nice sweetness underneath rounds it out nicely.
F: Creamy and smooth. Pretty good.

O: better than I was expecting. Glad to have tried this.

(The bottle I had was bottled 10 months ago so results may vary!)

Cloudy amber appearance with a fast dissipating head. Smells really sweet, some caramel malts are there. Smell really fresh even though it's almost 1 year old so I hope the taste will be there! Really really sweet in the mouth, the caramel malts are really present. A small bitterness but it's kinda subtle, nice carbonation.

Overall I wasn't disappointed in the beer I hope I will get the chance to taste it fresh to compare to.

Orange in appearance. Moderate lacing and retention. Aroma of English hops and caramel malt. Biscuit, a focus of caramel and rye. Bready and slightly peppery. A significant dosage of English hops. A metallic flavor is present. Moderate body with creamy almost oily mouth feel.Pretty good and easily sessionable.

Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light dry caramel malt with a dry floral hoppy finish. Taste is dominated by dry caramel malt with wonderful floral hoppy notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Rye notes are not that dominant by hoppy floral finish is really great – I wish I had access to more 4% ABV beer that are so flavourful.
