Birra Peroni Industriale S.p.A. "Raffo"
33 cl. brown glass bottle coded "9/26 BARI L5 169113" and sampled on 20 NOV 2025
€5,50 @ Autogrill Italia S.P.A. 014, Modena, IT
Look: Clear golden beneath a short head of white foam with fair head retention and lacing.
Smell: Sweetish and grainy malt with hints of herbal and grassy hops threaded through. Clean.
Taste: The flavor follows the aroma with some additional floral hop character. A moderate to median bitterness balances it nicely leading to a mainly dry finish without much left lingering.
Feel: Light-medium in body and gently crisp.
Overall: A basic Euro lager.

Slightly Hazy yellow color with a thin head.
Mild aroma with notes of industrial lagers with grain sweetness, minerals and faint hops.
Flavor with notes of malt and grain sweetness backed by earthy and herbal hop and faint cardboard. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Refreshing Adjunct Lager that goes down well under this scorching sun in summer Italy. I found their Raffo Lavorazione Grezza slightly better, more flavorful.

MAY 2024.
45 cl bottle (€1.49 at the supermarket).
It's a brand of the most widely distributed industrial company in Italy (Birra Peroni). In addition to corn, there are unrefined cereals from the Puglia region (barley and durum wheat).
The beer has a hazy straw color and produces less foam than a Classic Peroni Beer.
Light barley scent.
In the mouth the body is very light, with a fairly mild carbonation.
As with its industrial "sisters", the taste is as neutral as possible, without the slightest excess or distinctive element that could cause a different sensation from a standard product.
In particular, this one has a clearer cereal aftertaste than a version without the words "UNFILTERED" on the label.
In reality, as soon as the beer warms up a little in the glass, that slight hint of cereal grit tends to resemble sawdust.
If it must be drunk, let it be frozen.
Industrial product: standard and soulless.
