Pours a dark, slightly hazy copper with a fine-bubbled pale tan head. Malty aroma has hoppy and fruity hints, and is not strong but still has appeal. Malty, spicy flavor has a fruity note that is mainly apple and a hint of hops. Texture has above-average body and is quite fizzy. This fine brewski leaves a spicy, tingly and pleasing finish.

Appearance: Served a clear, dark copper-toned body with a ΒΌ-inch-head, off-white head.
Smell: Woodsy, lightly leafy hops set amongst the breadiness and caramel-scented accents from the malts.
Taste: A slight toasty breadiness start, then, some sweet caramel hits the tongue, followed by a faint resinous quality and the spicy, rustic woodsiness of the NB hops. Touch of fruit. Moderate bitterness. Drying and still firmly bitter on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Fairly spot-on for the style.
