Appearance: Mahogany-hued in appearance, notably clear, and with a scant, off-white head. Nice lacing action on the way down.
Smell: Scents of toast leads, but it's a bit light and teamed with cooked, caramelized sugar. A little note of fruit with a distant, tea-like aroma of herb.
Taste: A taste of toasted malts and sugars with a flair of lightly nutty caramelization. A slight flavor of ripe plum follows, then, a bit of earthy herbs and forgotten florals. Restrained bitterness. Has a nice level of sweetness throughout with a deep maltiness. Casually drying on the still-a-bit-sweetish, malty finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: WB delivers a nice, tasty alt.
