Appearance: Deep amber-hued body with a slim, ivory-hued head.
Smell: Resiny, woodsy hops with some light citrus rind notes over malty accents of toast and caramel with a distant note of roast.
Taste: Toasted malts with an easy roastiness in the background and a sweetness of brown sugar and caramel. Resiny, woodsy, citrusy hops but they're restrained, particularly the bitterness, which remains light. Malty finish with a final taste of toasted bread and still a fair amount of sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Slackened hop bitterness with a nice round maltiness -- I liked it.
