Appearance: Served up a hazed, dark golden-hued body, I think, I mean, they do have the whole "late-night mood lighting" thing going on here. A third of an inch of what appears to be off-white foam.
Smell: Smells of sweetish-scented toffee chips, faintly toasted biscuit tops, given a timid backing of lemon zest and ground spice. Only a small hint of oak coming through on the nose.
Taste: Toffee glazed biscuits, bread before little hits of spice and dried lemon peel. Very soft oak character, a small pinch of vanilla sugar. Modestly bitter. Still holds a bit more toffee and biscuit for the sweetish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Lightly carbonated.
Overall: It's good! The cask, tapped a few days prior, has mellowed out a fair degree, starting to show the beginnings of oxidation.
