Moderately hazy pale yellow appearance with a decent one finger head with decent retention. Grapefruit, peach, melon, mild pine. Decent body and mouthfeel. Really solid session!

I remember being told by a SuppO for whom I worked, "Petty Officer ChANdler, I CAN tell by the look on your face that you have just had an epiphanic moment." It turned out to be the first of many, with one of the latest being that I have (seemingly) abandoned The CANQuest (tm) in favor of The Eradication of The Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody. It was not abandonment, but precedence, yet I feel guilty. Especially when seeing that some on-deck CANs have failed in the interim, bursting in all sort of ways. I keep a CANlection of them for my presentations/lectures on CANs & I plan to reCANnect with one of the Crown engineers at some point. Why do I mention this? I had one early iteration of this beer in a CAN that literally blew its lid. This CAN is its replacement, kept cool since its purchase out of a cooler.
From the CAN: "Taking It Easy"; "Cruising Through the Day"; "Embrace the CAN"; "Best Kept Cold"; "Drink Fresh Do Not Age Please Recycle"; "Pour Into a Glass for Best Drinking Experience".
The Crack! was met with some foaming through the vent & when it settled down, I could see that it was due to yet another brimful CAN, leaving nowhere for the tongue to go. This, coupled with the fact that it was in a pounder CAN, led to my decision to employ a gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. Even so, I got close to three fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with great retention. Color was a cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose was primarily pine-minty with a light lemony-citrusiness underlying it. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was quite minty with a slight lemony citrusiness underlain by a biscuity malt backbone. I was pleasantly surprised, since this was a low-ABV Session AIPA & usually, the taste does not match the nose. I liked the moderate bitterness of the finish which was refreshing, but it still lacked the Ooomph! of a full-on AIPA. I will CANtinue to lobby for Session AIPAs to be a style unto themselves.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a slightly hazy golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated to a mushroom cap of a small head. The smell had a bitter sharp citrus rind, more so as lemon coming forth. The taste was basically the same and kept the bitterness throughout the beer. A light bitter citrusy aftertaste leads to a bitter finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation hits appropriately and leaves mainly bitterness rolling over my tongue. Overall, not bad, it seems to be one of the more bitter AIPA’S on the market.

Pours a slightly hazy orange with a fluffy white head. Nose is of peaches, citrus, pale malts. Taste of cracker malt, light citrus, ripe peaches and grasses. Medium body with a wet mouthfeel. Smooth but somewhat wet finish. It was a okay IPA but lacked the finish I hoped for.

Had this on 2017-05-04 in Columbia, PA from a 16oz canned on 2017-04-24. Very fresh.
A - Hazy golden-orange with a 1-finger white head that sticks around leaving decent lace.
S - Peach, pineapple, cracker, light grass and floral.
T - Tart peach skin, cracker, pink grapefruit flesh and pith, pepper, pine. Fairly-bitter, lingering finish that is dry although there is some residual citrus flavor.
M - Light-medium body and ridiculously-high carbonation. It is taking me 15 minutes to finish pouring a 16 oz can into a 20oz snifter because even a teeny pour creates 4 fingers of foam. This needs to be fixed. When I finally have a proper glass, the feel is smooth at first then a little prickly.
O - This is a good beer. Starts of with a fruity aroma and initial flavor and then bitters up as it dries out. A good example of a Session IPA, with enough fruit and malt flavor to keep it from being hop tea. At 4.2% there's a lot to like here and kudos for the freshness! For comparison, it is the same ABV as Carton Boat, a little more bitter in the finish. Much closer to my house, and cheaper. If I could pour this beer properly, I'd give it a higher score.

Draft at Rockfish in York, PA. Poured a hazy golden amber color with a modest off-white head. Initial impression is a smooth, rather sweetish IPA with a citrus/tropical fruits presence. Mouthfeel is slightly oily but refreshingly light - about right for the style. Medium carbonation. Smooth finish with slight lingering bitterness.
If you want a hop bomb, this isn't it. If you want a smooth, quite drinkable IPA - this is worth a try.
