A balanced and full flavored "session" stout, all of the roast and malt characteristics of a larger stout but at a modest 4.0% ABV. Often referred to as an Irish Dry Stout.

Pours a deep, nearly opaque, brown, with auburn highlights when held up to the light. Ample biscuit colored foam when first poured proves durable, leaving significant lacing to the bottom of the glass. Smell is rich, roasted, more cocoa than coffee. Flavor opens with malt, joined quickly by roasted grain which carries on to a smooth aftertaste. Body and ABV are amazingly light for a stout, and yet it is strongly a stout in flavor. Mouthfeel is quite dry and light. Overall, this beer lives up to its intent, strong stout flavor in a beer that encourages repetition.
