On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
The beers pours a murky amber brown, with no lacing, and no head.
Smells like hot bourbon, sweet syrupy malt, and a little bit of caramel.
This is just fairly poorly executed, unfortunately. The barrel is dominant and the base beer is buried. The ABV just doesn't seem high enough to handle this. There's a generic syrupy sweet malt character behind this one, uninteresting and not tasty. Can't recommend this one.
This is medium bodied, with a syrupy mouthfeel, and a lower level of carbonation.
Not enjoyable really at all.
