another excellent beer from these guys, this one a mostly organic pale ale unique because of its wheat and pils malt grain composition. props for the organic ingredients, it does have this fresh harvesty sort of agricultural element that i like, but its just good pale ale, a rather classic piney hop complexion to it, high alpha and rightly bitter, even foresty and woodsy, but made lighter than most by the crackery pils malt and dry cerealy wheat, frothy and summery, fresh as can be, and forever drinkable. i love the light feel and full flavored nature of this one, proving that northwestern hopped pales dont necessarily need any crystal malt to be balanced, a fact that i think goes against what a lot of brewers have regarded as common knowledge way too long, but drink this beer and tell me the hops dominate or that some sweet toasty crystal malt is just what it needs, because they dont and its not! high carbonation, nice hop intensity to close it down, really modern and yummy to me. i liked all the beer in here pretty well, but this along with the irish goodbye were the highlights for me!
