On tap at Roc Brewing in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a light golden brown color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
There’s not ton of a barrel here, just some lightly sweet honey and breadiness, and that’s about it.
This sounded promising, but it’s just not that interesting. I assume it’s a bourbon barrel here, but it’s hard to tell as there’s essentially no barrel character. There’s a nice creaminess, and I guess they honey is nice, but it’s just a mildly pleasant but boring sweet malty thing with very little interesting character.
This is creamy and medium bodied, with a decent drinkability.
This is like a lot of Roc Brewing beers, not flawed so to speak, just uninspiring.
