On tap at the Old Toad in Rochester, NY.
Pours a hazy, reddish amber color, with a 1 inch head, and decent lacing.
Smells malty, with some mild hop aromas.
The taste is pretty great- toasty, slightly burnt malt, earthy hop bitterness, some slight creamy vanilla, and a very welcome modest smokiness. Didn't expect the smokiness, but I like it a lot.
Medium mouthfeel, good carbonation.
One of the best Irish reds I've had. The smokiness was surprising, but very welcome.

On tap at Jeffereys poured into a generic pint glass.
Thin head dissipates quickly to only covering the edges of the glass, lacing the outside as I drink.
Malty nose with hints of alcohol. Nothing much to pull from.
Malty dishrag taste. Subtle hops highlight the after taste. Hop taste can be described as floral.
Average carbonation. Slightly sticky on the palate.
Overall too malty. Needs to be more balanced to make its way in the red ale category. Not a bad new brewery though, would reccomend trying them out.
