Very foamy with a cloudy, slightly orange light brown color. Smells like fruit, flowers, and grass. Tastes like peach, pear, slight orange, citrus blossom, rose, pepper, grass, stems, and toasted bread. A light herbal bitterness at the end. It’s a bright summer beer. Another good one from these guys.

A-Copper orange color with a thick off white head
S-Yeast heavy aroma with floral hop notes
M-Low end carbonation with medium body and a resinous mouthfeel
T-Bitter upfront with a sweetness that comes out afterwards. Floral hope come through with a resinous sappy pine like flavour
O-Would be interesting to drink fresh as my suspicion is that this bottle sat on a shelf for a while and was likely in a long hot road trip across Italy as I had it in Sicily…decent but expected more.

Bottle 0.5L
Slightly hazy orange-to-copper body with a large, frothy, off-white head, mostly lasting with some nice lacing.
Moderate-to heavy hoppy (flowers, citrus, grapefruit) and light-to-moderate malty (caramel) aroma with notes of white fruits and some dried fruits as well.
Moderate-to-heavy bitter and moderate sweet flavour; average-to-long lasting bitter finish with a note of biscuit.
Light-to-medium body with oily texture; average-to-lively carbonation.

Genova 24/7 2024. 75 cl clunky glass bottle with a swing cap from Carrefour Express, Via Vincenzo Fascie, Sestri Levante.
Mastri Birra Umbri’s usual archaic design with a small off-white label tinged with a bit of green hop flowers to signify that this is a Indian Pale Ale.

Pours opaque, murky amber with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer with fluffy foam. Crawling up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a slightly fermented odor og malts and sweet fruits. Plums and pale malts. Moldy gym-bag. Rough bitter scent. Grapefruit.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.

Classic take on a old fashioned and not too fancy Indian Pale Ale.

300ml bottle from the Boise Co-op. Medium, cloudy amber, towering fluffy head. Malty aroma with earthy, woody notes. Taste brings more sweet malts, oak, a touch of astringent hops. Very much in the English style.

in this case ipa stands for italian pale ale, and it should be listed as a pale probably, not an ipa. i had higher hopes for this after loving the blonde, but this is predictably oxidized, being such a long way from its place of origin. it looks a little murky and separated with a lot of sediment at the bottom, a dullish copper color with a fast settling white head. wet cardboard in the nose, malt sweetness, and some lingering hop bitterness, less refined than the blonde by a mile, and without the cool yeast element to me. the label says some new zealand hops are in here, cool for an italian brewer, but they seem long faded. a little sweet orange character and an herbal tint to the hops, but its more malt sugar in the second half than anything else. it feels starchy, a little caramelized, and not as clean, dry, or lively as i want it to be. i am sure this is a totally different drinking experience closer to the source. i like that its kind of weird, old school grainy and curiously proportioned, especially for a european brew, but this just isnt doing it for me overall. tastes and feels a little less than fully fermented out, and its tired. i hope to try this in its ideal form at some point, but i am still glad to have this available in idaho, not nearly enough italian beer coming around here!

Copper, light haze, no carbonation, 2 fingers of beige head.

Poplar sap, black tea, caramel, and apples.

Black tea, slight sweet, slight sour, dull, deranged and unfocussed bitterness.

Medium body, almost no carbonation.

I seldom use the word 'disgusting' for a beer. Really not well executed. I think they were going for an English IPA, but it really missed the mark.
