Awesome local's place located in downtown Greeley. All wood interior, dimly lit with flags hanging from the ceiling above the bar and a nice world map drawn on the ceiling itself. Behind the bar you have a huge whiskey selection and then there's two full TV screens on the wall listing what's on tap, the price, where it's from, and how much the glass costs (as well as the type of glass it's served in). Bartenders have been awesome every time I've gone... they know their beers, are super friendly, and are willing to let you sample some or make recommendations. They have a good mix of wheats, sours, some fruit/interesting, IPAs, stouts, and local specialties. It would appear they have some snacks like cookies or PBJ sandwiches available, but I've never seen any... so this isn't a place to go for food, you go for beer! They also have quite a cellar list available.

When it opened, Patrick's instantly became the best place in Greeley to have an exotic beer with friends without blaring music or flatscreens competing for your attention. It's still that place between about 4 and 9 on most days, but later in the evening Patrick's can become uncomfortably crowded and the sheer effort of getting a drink very discouraging to the thirsty patron.

A few years ago Patrick's expanded its offerings to 31 taps of intense and challenging beers from all over the world and the US, including regular offerings from Russian River, Ommegang and Lost Abbey and local favorites like Equinox and Grimm Brothers. Turnover on the taps is pretty good, with a recent run through a few of Stone's Arrogant Bastard varieties standing out. Bartenders seem fairly knowledgable about the beers, but certainly didn't get the job because of their love for the suds.

Love the atmosphere. Really just a room with a high ceiling and a massive bar in the middle. Everything is dark wood which lends to a nice dark intimate feel. No TVs. This place is about the people and the booze. The only food is pretzels and peanuts but you're always welcome to bring something

In addition to 31 taps they also have a very good selection of scotches and bourbons. The beers on tap are always changing and its a pretty good mix. No BMC in the place. Plenty from Colorado breweries, always something from Stone, the obligatory Irish offerings, plus the usual Belgian staples. Typically will be a Sour and a cider as well.

Service can be a problem as the room can be crowded and the bar tenders are just that, bar tenders. They don't get out from behind the bar. Also, the staff tend towards college students who are not usually not particulalry well versed in what they're selling.

Prices are higher than Ft. Collins but since this is literally the only game in town in terms of really good craft beer it's well worth it.

All in all a good bar. I enjoy myself every time I'm in there.
