Fresh from the brewery tap.
Slightly hazy golden caramel color with a thin thick head with medium retention.
Aroma with notes of caramel malt, lychees and lots papaya (Equinox dry hopping).
Relatively hoppy flavor with notes of caramel and toasted malt, lychees, wood, mild spices, green apple puree, papaya, green pepper and lemon. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
I did like their take on this Marzen. Its hoppiness made it refreshing and less cloying. And Equinox proved to be a quite interesting hop for this style.
