Pike County Pale Ale is a full bodied American Ale. Its copper color and complex hop flavor make it a pleasure to drink. We dry hop it to give it a subtle floral aroma that’s to die for. It’s an American beer that is a sweet vacation for the senses. This beer goes with just about anything.

22oz bomber poured into a pint glass. Big, frothy head with plenty of carbonation and lacing from top to bottom. The head lasted to the end. Poured a clear deep rust/copper color. A hoppy/citrus aroma dominated, with lighter notes of sweet fruit and flowers.
Body was just right...smooth, not too heavy or light.
At first I found this one a tad hoppy for my personal taste, but as I continued into it, a caramel maltiness balanced out the hoppy beginning. This is a beer that developed in my glass, and kept getting better and better. I found the finish a bit boozy but clean, which was explained by the surprising 7.10% ABV.
I usually don't gravitate towards this style, and I tried it on the advice of a friend. I was very pleasantly surprised, and I'll certainly be seeing this one again.

Bomber grabbed in Saint Louis. Very solid APA pour, dark rusty red with a nice, retentive, rocky white head.
Smells like a straight citrus hop profile, along with a very sweet, honeyish malt. Interesting, but a little unbalanced toward the sweet side.
Tastes... decent, but too sweet. Citrus hops start things off and linger all throughout, but they move into a malt backing that's just a little off in a way I can't quite recognize. I don't think this is from extract, but it has a little touch of homebrewiness to it, with a cloying honey middle and a finish that's a little herbal and a little medicinal.

Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a billowing head that fades slowly to lots of lacing. Aroma of fresh grain, citrus, some caramel and hint of herbs. Taste of citrus and some caramel, with a bit of fruit and pine. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body Has a nice tart touch. Enjoyable beer and an easy drinker. Nice pale Ale from a small regional brewer.

Copper and mostly clear with just a tinge of haze, monster head that lasted and lasted, leaving thick lacing.
Smell is malty with a very nice, forward hops profile.
Taste starts out sweet, with lots of malts and a touch of honey. A very forward and pungent blasting of hops follows, with lots of earthy, piney, and dry citrus character.
Body is pretty thick and warming from the tangy hops and higher than usual APA for the style. The hops are almost chewy, but there isn't much resiny or oily texture.
It's quite a hop bomb in the end, despite the forward malt character. Definitely worth a try, and I'll certainly have this one again.
