Look: Rather cloudy, light gold, small white head.
Smell: Crisp hops and citrus
Taste: Again, hops and citrus with a yeasty, bready aftertaste
Feel: Normal carbonation, dry refreshing aftertaste
Overall: A good brew overall. I don't love the bready aftertaste but everything else was satisfactory. This was my third and favorite beer from Grizzly Paw, I'll be sure to come back for more next time I'm in AB.

I've enjoyed this brew out of a bottle and recently filled a growler at the pub. It's a keeper - definitely sessionable, adequately hopped but light in colour and character. Reminds of Phillips Bottle Rocket, in the best way possible. It's got structure and flavour, and I've proved that a guy can easily take down a growler of this in an evening. Keep it up, Grizzly Paw!

650ml bomber poured into tulip 11/7/14
A slight haze in a golden yellow body, just a few bubbles are visible but they pump out a short lived three finger foam that leaves no lace
S lemon, canned pineapple, orange, earthy notes, kinda smells like Perrier, some caramel and faint spruce
T not far from the smell, earthy and a little rind, grainy malt, a hint of spice, tastes decent just not all that intense
M light bodied, a little grit, enough bubbles to give it some life, grains and earthy rind lingers faintly
O not a bad ISA, smells better then the taste, just could use bigger punch but not bad for 4.5%
Finally a mountain I've climbed on a beer label, one of those beers that I wouldn't turn down on a hot day but I wouldn't go looking for it either

Appearance - Pours a light copper brown with a finger width of bubbly white head.
Smell - Bready, biscuity malts, earthy hops, citrus peel (lemon).
Taste - Moderately bitter earthy hops along with bready, biscuity malts and hints of lemon peel. Also detect a note of caramel in the flavour.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes with a mellow, lingering bitterness.
Overall - A crisp and sessionable ale by Grizzly Paw. The flavours in this brew show excellent use of the bready malts, hops and citrus, leaving the palate with a quality lingering bitterness at the end. Hops could be more vibrant in the smell, but otherwise, glad to see Grizzly Paw experimenting with new styles.

1L howler, procured once again through the good graces of Keg 'n Cork's growler system - session ales, they just be representin'! Named after nearby Mt. Rundle (and its massive stones), I presume.
This beer pours a mostly clear, pale golden yellow colour, with one finger of rather bubbly, and somewhat fizzy off-white head, which leaves some random northern Russian island group lace around the glass as things quickly head downstairs.
It smells of understated biscuity, bready pale malt, tart citrus rind, mineral water, and tame leafy, earthy hops. The taste is gritty, lightly crackery pale malt, a touch of wet biscuit, weak muddled fleshy citrus notes, more stoney flintiness, a bit of ethereal white wine fruitiness, and earthy, weedy, and leafy hops.
The carbonation is light, and barely registers on the froth-o-meter, the body medium-light in weight, and generally smooth, nothing really existing here that could make any real dent otherwise. It finishes off-dry, the biscuity nature of the malt, along with the lingering citrus and leafy hops making the case for a 'session' ESB - stranger things have indeed happened, even tonight, for me.
A fairly agreeable, and pretty tasty offering, for this kind of up in the air style. Thin-looking, but that's about the extent of it, because the overall bearing surely shores things up, and the hops, while mostly American in origin, coalesce into a more old-school sort of goodness. Another pleasing beer from this brewery's new production facilities - hopefully we'll be seeing more of those bombers up highway 2 soon...eh?
