This is a smooth, medium bodied classic brown ale.
Brewed from pale malts and four varieties of roast malts this beer has a pleasant malty character. Certainly not a stout, this is a clean, roast flavoured beer.

My can says 5%, not 6%. Regardless, it pours a translucent brown amber with two fingers of beige head. I get toffee and coffee malt notes on the nose, a bit muted, and not much else. Pretty good malty flavour, robust but not bitter. Actually, it's rather on the sweet side. Quite nutty, true to its name. Some tea-like hops character in the background, but it's hard to pick up on beneath the malts. Goes down smooth and easy. Overall, a pretty decent brown ale.

650 ml bottle poured into a pint glass. A white head that disappeared. Nose is malt, coffee, caramel. Taste is chocolate, malt, and malt with a smooth rich finish. Good beer!

650 ml bottle
Appearance- Pours a mahogany brown with a 1/2 finger of bubbly head.
Smell- Caramalts, hazelnut, almond, hint of toffee
Taste- Roasted caramalts, hazelnut, almond with a nice sweetness and mild hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel- Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall- A respectable brown by Grizzly Paw. It hits the mark on the flavour profile and I enjoy the mild bitterness. Nice to see Grizzly Paw expand into the 650ml bottle format.

A - mostly clear rootbeer brown, one finger of head dissipated to a thin cover
S - plenty of brown sugar and some nuttiness and earthiness
T - mix of nutty and roasty malt flavours, some cola sweetness and hints of earth and leather
M - medium bidy with solid carbonation kick, finishes sweet and a little dry
O - a nice brew from a local brewer, not outstanding in the style but more than adequate, glad to see bombers from Grizzly
