The first of a series of lagers made exclusively at the brewpub in Canmore.
Appearance - Pours a dark copper with a finger of bubbly white head.
Smell - bready caramel malts, hint of chocolate, toastiness, slight hint of noble hops, and earthy lager yeast.
Taste - Dominated mainly by the bready caramel malts, hint of chocolate, toastiness, earthy yeast, and the slight hint of noble hops finish this brew off.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Finishes with a touch of sweetness.
Overall - An easy drinking Munich Dunkel. I enjoyed the flavours of in this one. Its nice to see Grizzly Paw continuing to expand their repertoire of styles of beer brewed. I look forward to the next edition in this series.
