I got a tall boy can of this beer from a Christmas gift pack that i bought from a Christmas market at the Banff train station. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had subtle citrus hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright crisp malt base with grain and bitter citrus hop presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Poured from a 473ml can.
A pretty good West Coast IPA. Lots out there better but very drinkable.
Reading the reviews the brewery must have tweaked this IPA as it is up there with the BC west Coast IPA's.

On tap at Grizzly Paw Brewing in Canmore, Alberta.
This one pours a burnt orange, copper-ish color, clear, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells generically citrusy, with some heavy maltiness, and a touch of astringency on the nose.
Much like their pale ale, this is just too basic and homebrew-ish, with too much maltiness and not enough interesting hop character.
This is light bodied, drinkable enough, but just not interesting to drink.
This brewery had a very nice location in the middle of a beautiful town, but the beers were pretty uninspiring.

This is not an IPA. Please remove it from the label and call it a pale ale at the most.

473ml can poured into tulip 16/9/16
A clear orange copper, just a couple visible bubbles feed a finger of foam that falls after a couple sips leaving a few random patches
s brown sugar, bruised mango, candied orange, some faint pine, a little malty for a fresh IPA
T more pine and rind but still lots of brown sugar, OK but needs a little hop kick
M medium weight, soft from the bubbles, mild bitter kick, some grit and a piney finish
O not bad but plenty of room for improvement, a little malty but I guess some would call it balance
Pretty average brew overall. The can takes me back to hiking Chinaman's peak a few years back, well I think its Ha Ling peak now, political correctness these days, what ya gonna do?
