on tap at the brew pup 24/1/13 into brandy snifter
A one of the darker BW's I've seen it almost looks black, lots of slow moving streams creeping up the side feeding a short lived mocha finger of foam that leaves some random lace.
I'm not sure if this one changes color when it warms but it seems to get lighter as I drank it, perhaps the round snifter made it look darker then it is
S woody fruity notes come out with plum and very faint smokey notes and caramel with some candied cherry
T little coco and some faint booze come out in the mouth that I didn't smell, there's a barrel involved but I can't tell what type. everything I smells still there but with a little added complexity, nice mix of of barrel, burnt sugars, and candied fruits
M medium-full, a little oily in the mouth but stick on the lips, no real heat going down but you can feel it in your chest
O pretty solid beer, I wish I had more information about it, pretty mellow so I'm guessing its already been aged for some time
by far the best brew I can remember trying from the Grizzly Paw, props to them for brewing some big creative stuff, perhaps I need to revisit some of their brews because this ones a big step in the right direction

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
