No tasting notes on this one. Given it for Christmas and then saved it to try with some friends who enjoy cider. Interesting approach with the blended cider/ale concept but I believe that it comes out quite satisfying. Great flavors of fresh apple and a slight hint of key lime at the end.

Bottled Sept. 2015
L - Pours a rustic looking amber with a sky high light tan head. The head is so billowing and I have to think this was close to a gusher.
S - Definitely getting a lot of apple cider and faint key lime.
T - Apple cider up front that gives way to cinnamon and red apple sweetness along with key lime tartness on the end.
F - Medium bodied and high carbonation.
O - An interesting beer that I'm really digging. A beer that blurs the lines, but man I'm liking this cider mix.

Pours a scarlet hued amber with a pinky of tan head. Stays effervescent, great lacing & head retention
S: Apples, not much else
T: Apples, a little sourness, a little cinnamon & some pear up front. Some apple sweetness as this warms, a little tartness. Finishes a little tart, a little sour & then a bunch of sugary apple juice, I get a little bit of the lime as well
MF: Medium body, lively carbonation, best part of this beer
Drinks alright, this did nothing for me, I guess I will be way pickier in beers from these guys, some are just very boring & not worth buying. More cider than beer if you ask me

Poured cold into a tapered pilsner glass.
Look = 3.75 Pours a cloudy amber brown color with 3 fingers of brown head composed of loose bubbles leaving with a decent lace.
Aroma = 3.75 Mild apple notes and a mild tartness, mixed with alcohol notes. Overall sweet but not strong and a little musty.
Taste = 3.5 Apple, cider spice, mild tartness and the alcohol comes through on the finish. Doesn’t blend together all that well.
Feel = 4.0 Medium bodied with medium and high carbonation, fizzy cider-like feel.
Drinkability = 3.5 Not a great taste and the alcohol presence decreases drinkability somewhat.
Overall = 3.675 Some interesting apple characters but very cider like, not a great blend.
