on tap right at the brewery! a new one! sort of a kolsch, but only sort of, its kind of a hybrid with an east coast ipa, its hazy, especially for a kolsch type, and super hoppy for the style, but just an awesome fusion, just great ale, who cares what its supposed to be or not. love the hops here with the more traditional grain base, its dramatic and juicy, notes of pineapple and lemon and pine all at once, maybe a little less intense in the taste than in the smell, but still well hoppy for anything trying to be a kolsch, and bitter too at the end, but also very dry. somehow still light for how substantial the flavor is, this is an easy drinking beer thanks to a lighter body and robust carbonation, summery still with the fruit notes from the hops, and truly unlike any other hoppy beers i can recall, a different kind of style fusion than we have seen before, i hope this one makes it to the bottle! i was really stoked to visit the brewery and try some of their new stuff, these guys are at the absolute top of the heap!
