From Perennial on Lockwood in collaboration with our friends Olive + Oak, the first batch of our beloved Ollie Ollie Oxen Free Session IPA in cans! In the past we’ve treated this beer as an avenue to experiment with different hop combinations. Starting with this batch we will stick to the hop combination of 3 of my all time favorites: Mosaic, Amarillo and Mandarina Bavaria. Huge tropical fruit and fresh citrus zest dominate the aroma, all laid on top of a soft and delicate malt bill consisting of malted wheat and flaked oats. This beer reminds us of syrup left over in tropical fruit cups, chugging half the bottle of Orange Gatorade after mowing the lawn and time spent with loved ones during quarantine.

Pours a glowing apricot with a dull, opaque transparency. Head is a finger of off-white foam. Aroma is papaya, tangerine, pineapple, and melon dew with heavy nutty malts behind. It's tropical fruits, but it's delicate - the presence matches the ABV. Flavor profile is pineapple, melon dew, rindy orange, and mango. It carries a little more presence in the flavor profile, drinking like it's a little stronger than 4.5%. It is light enough that is showcases some biscuity, earthy, nutty malts underneath. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a fuzzy, neppy texture. Overall, a lot of hop presence in this one despite being under 5% ABV. It does a good job for its weightclass.

poured from a 16oz can into a spiegelau IPA glass. pours hazy but not murky or turbid. two fingers of white head fades pretty quickly. smells just as strongly of yeast as it does of hops & fruits. taste is smooth, fruity, semi bitter. extremely easy drinking. medium bodied mouthfeel makes for an easy drinking experience. nice spring / summer crusher IPA.
