Spare Parts is the 2nd installment in our draft only IPA series. Built around fluffy malt bill of Spelt and Flaked Oats, fermented with our house expressive ale yeast strain, and thoughtfully dry-hopped with some old school C’s; Columbus, Cascade and Chinook.
Spare Parts reminds us of space time continuum’s, brûléed grapefruit halves for breakfast, the summer of 2010, and drinking Fresca by the poolside while listening to Poolside.

16 oz can from a slew of singles, best by 12/5/20, into Boulevard Smokestack snifter.
Pours a hazy/foggy straw color with a creamy tall head of 2 fingers, receding to 1 and destroying the glass with lace.
Aroma is of chalk, pineapple rind, mango, grapefruit, starfruit, and fresh pine.
Flavor is juicy but not sweet, fruity but not sugary... bringing tiny elements of white grapefruit, grass, tangerine, lemon, banana peel, and watermelon, all combining together to form a semi-sweet juicy picture. As if each were a slice of the pie. There's an element of chalk or wax through it overall that borders on offensive but actually pulls the dryness forward resulting in a pleasant, nearly cactus juice-like experience.
Feel is crisp, dry, no detectable alcohol, leaning juicy on the finish, with more crisp dryness and slight crisp resin at the end.
Overall, a very enjoyable pale ale that, while it won't blow the roof off, is a pleasant drinker.
Price paid : $2.99 / can
