For this installment in our 10th anniversary series we reached out to our buds at Resident Culture Brewing Co. out of Charlotte, NC. We’ve loved their whole crew ever since our first meeting in Copenhagen in 2018. For this beer we wanted to make something that not only is progressive but introspective on how we make hoppy beer. Leaning on their expertise and generosity, we were able to purchase some Strata and Riwaka hops hand selected by Resident Culture to use in this hazy brew. Someone You’d Admire is an ode to friends who don’t live close, but who you never take for granted. An ode to having peers that not only influence you, but also guide you. An ode to life, and how making beer is a snapshot into a certain time and place. An ode to parenthood, and how it’s best shared with others. An ode to UNC basketball games, underground dive bars in Chapel Hill and late night Fleet Foxes listening parties.
