This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small fluffy head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like creamy coffee, honey, caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, and spicy hot chocolate.
This is one of the best batches of any Sump that I’ve ever had. There’s a pleasant sweetness, but also a spicy dark bitterness that helps balance it all out. Honey, blackberry, caramel, light spice, and creamy dark chocolate are the dominant flavors - this coffee is very complex, but even more importantly, very delicious.
This is thick, and really creamy, with no booziness and a very good drinkability.
I’m glad that Perennial got back on the good side of Sump Coffee - this is excellent.

poured from a 16oz can into an oversized snifter. a gentler pour yields a dense black sludgy liquid with a thin mocha ring. chocolate, caramel, blueberry, honey and even a hint of herbal tea. taste is a lot of honey, chocolate and caramel. small component of plums and blueberries. ful mouthfeel. really, really good imperial coffee stout.

Pitch black shimmering body with a brown head. This is obviously very similar to others in the sump series, but here I find the nose to have a dark fruit emphasis. The taste however I get a large dark chocolate flair that rides the coffee through the finish beautifully. Feel has great earthiness, coffee percolation, lightly roasted malt textures, all in a creamy and full body without being super heavy. Please keep making more of these sumo variants, loving it!
