Pitch black pour, light brown head. Vanilla and chocolate top a blend of bourbon barrels, roasted malt, and dark grains in the nose. Taste has clearly rye added to the nose, very well balanced. Smooth and warm body that is decently dry and full.
Well crafted and balanced, no real weaknesses. This would’ve been an absolute banger in 2015

Excellent imperial stout. Had it poured from tap into a snifter at the taproom. Oily dark brown with a nice brown initial head and some nice residual lacing. Dark chocolate smell and taste. Spicy and vanilla mellow. Vanilla and warming bourbon. Coconut and a hint of licorice. Very nice!
