In 2011, Cape May Brewing Co. helped put New Jersey on the map for craft beer, and has offered refreshing brews as one of the largest and most acclaimed craft breweries in the region ever since.
From our humble beginnings hand-delivering the first keg of Cape May IPA to a local beach bar to the hundreds of accounts offering cans and drafts of our brews throughout New Jersey, Delaware, and eastern Pennsylvania, Cape May Brewing Co. is where the brews are.
Our Tasting Room is one of the largest and most accessible in the state, where you can take our interactive, self-guided tour and also browse merchandise and beer to-go in our Brewtique, and we have a spacious and relaxing Brewtanical Garden available in the summer season.

The best! Been going here since they first opened. CMB is literally one of the OGs in the biz. The vibe is awesome....chill, shore vibe. Selection is incredible...little bit for everyone. Quality....wow!! One of the best quality breweries in NJ. Service is impeccable. Very roomy. The times that I've been there (which are many), I've never seen food offered. Maybe they have food trucks at certain times on certain days...not sure. Will be going back here until either CMB or I are no more.

Visited while camping at Sun Retreat in the summer of 2025 with Tim, Patti and Joni. Really cool brewery. Totally love the flight line.Beers however are average at best. They do have a good selection of seltzers and slushys. Sat outside and listened to a 2 man band, Amptons, not really that good

My wife and I just went to their tasting room and loved the vibe- of course, it was Friday of Labor Day Weekend. The beer we had was good too- Cape May White and Cape May IPA were both crisp, clean, and tasty. The staff was very attentive and people were streaming in, and it was not much past 12 noon. We saw people bringing in their own food to have lunch and a few quality craft beers- we will definitely be ready to do this the next time we visit. I kept the four plastic solo cups we had to use due to covid19 and brought them home for my glass collection- their logo was on them and wanted to add to the couple of pint glasses we got from a previous visit. The merch is key- practically every major Belgian beer has their own glass for their own beer! Even if this is the 'Americanized' version of that, keep the merch coming!

We visited the "Brewtanical Garden" which was a roped off outdoor area setup for COVID times, in the grass area behind the brewery and parking lot. picnic tables, some of which were in the shade of some mature trees. good job of controlling number of people inside, they closed access once tables were full. they had a bar set up with 8 of the beers on tap. downside was that they allow dogs (which is normally fine), and there was a definite odor of dog shit in the air. too many in a smallish area? or the trash can was full of it? I dunno.
Selection of beer was heavy of lighter and fruity beers since it was summer. None of the dark beers they had listed on their taproom taplist.
Skipped getting take-away cans since the line was out the door.

I went here last summer and it was awesome, located near a semi abandoned small airport has a cool hangar feel to it. The beer selection was great. We didnt do the tour but it looked good, and the flights were very reasonably priced. Had a nice store with great Merch. This is one of the best things to do in Southern NJ especially in summer.

So we followed our GPS and ended coming in the back way (past the brewery) - I think we were on a golf cart path at one point....
But we parked and followed the signs that said "BEER THIS WAY!!" around the building and then down six or seven doors to the NEXT sign that said "BEER!" with an arrow, then followed the arrows painted on the floor that took us past a sort of "HOW BEER IS MADE" diorama to the friendly gent who welcomed us and asked if we had any questions on the self-guided tour? Well, no not really I guess.
With that as an intro, you are ushered into their quite nice tasting room, consisting of a long bar, a bunch of high-top tables, and some of the friendliest, most accommodating bartenders I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. No food (they have a "bring your own food" policy), but the full Cape May Brewing selection is at your disposal. Once you've sampled their excellent beers, you can wander into their adjacent gift shop and buy anything from a hoodie to MORE beer.
If you get a chance, go there. The beer alone is worth it.

Place is awesome. Always a great variety of brews to choose from, and the bartenders are happy to dish out samples. No food, as stated by others, but they encourage you to bring your own/order takeout while visiting. The building is always clean, with an upbeat environment.
Outside sitting is available, now that it's hotter out there is a large tent to provide shade. There are a few choices of games to play with friends while outside also. The only somewhat of a downfall is that a decent bit of people bring their children here. It is a kid-friendly place, as stated there are games to play, but sometimes it can be a little hectic outside if parents don't have control.
Above all, I highly enjoy going here, and living half a mile away is just the icing on the cake.

In a large tent outside a coastal breeze cools the large well-outfitted picnic space, where you can enjoy tacos from next door. Plenty of choices for pints and flights. (Flights appropriate for this airport location) must visit in Cape May its the best set up for an outdoor tasting when in Cape May. Returned 3x and like this place better each time.

Somewhat of a bigger micro-brew, and in somewhat of a remote area. They have large areas inside and in an attached large tent / beer garden for enjoying the offerings. There is a nice casual Mexican restaurant in the same building complex where you can pickup food to bring to the beer garden. They have a big gift shop.

Based on two visits, it appears that the service is often under staffed but that the beers are worth the wait. No food but there's a taco shop next door. Wi-fi available. Really poor root beer, although this may be the fault of the server who had to mix it.

Went here on Saturday and had an absolute blast. Great atmosphere, with corn hole and other games as well as a huge selection of beers. Crowded, and was a great place to have a beer flight and fill up a growler. Would recommend to even a casual fan of beer, a great way to spend an afternoon. Only even slight issue is that it's a bit off the beaten path.

Nice variety in the beers that they offer. Worth the trip from downtown. There is a taco shop next door that has really good, light, Mexican food.

Really cool brewery here, and one of the more enjoyable brewery setups that I've been to in Jersey. It's in a small complex right near the local airport (which by the way has a cool museum, as well as a diner). Doesn't necessarily look big from the outside, but there's a lot of space inside. You do a quick walk-by of the mandatory self-guided tour area (legal requirement for NJ breweries), and find yourself in the spacious bar area, where you can order your beer and take it to a table inside or outside. There's a little shop in the adjacent room as well. They actually have a ton of beer to choose from, so it's nice to have the sampler flight option. I actually didn't realize they made so many beers here, and so many different styles, as I haven't seen them much in distro. But yeah, everything from IPAs, to porters, to sour ales, and maybe like 20 taps? As far as quality, nothing really came across as great to me, but everything I had was definitely enjoyable. So back to that diner I mentioned earlier, if you're hungry and don't feel like travelling far for food, you're allowed to bring your own food here (again, breweries can't legally serve food in NJ for whatever dumb reason), but conveniently there's also a taco shop next door. Cool spot and worth checking out if you're in Cape May or Wildwood.

Can't imagine why they let kids in - not family-friendly or an atmosphere where I want to put up with children. They're outgrowing their space, as well. Shortages of seating and very long lines. But chalk that up to this place being a fan favorite. Very nice selection.

Great Brewery by the beach if your staying Cape May or Wildwood. None of the beers amazed me. Most I found unenjoyable but I like their set up good place to visit at least once if you're in the area but they have in my opinion only a few decent beers.

This popular brewery in Southern New Jersey is located in a nondescript industrial building. In addition to the brewery itself, it features a good-sized tasting room and a store that sells bottles and swag. The crowd in the tasting room is typically large and boisterous. They serve a good selection of their beers in flights and pints. One nice feature is that they include a souvenir glass with flights. Another plus is that they serve really good root beer to visitors who are not partaking. The staff is friendly and eager to answer your questions. The biggest problem is the crowds during summer season.

Ryan, Chris and Bob keep making the place better. I'm there just about every weekend, always greeted with smiling faces and delicious brews.
The self guided tour is a great way to work thru NJ's insane laws, but it is also beautiful art and a lot of fun. The expanded beer garden and new fire pit is a great place to hang and enjoy an afternoon of brew. The tasting room is the old standard and has had quite a few changes over the years, but still feels like home. And the brewtique is super-cool with the automated filler and all the killer CMBCo gear.
CMBCo has become a destination for visitors and locals alike. I have a lot of fun bringing friends to south Jersey and hitting the brewery tours starting up near Ocean City. I always cap off the trip with CMBCo and it's not just the beer, it's the people and the atmosphere. Definitely the most mature brewery as far as process and quality beer, but unrefined in style and ambiance. To me, visiting there is like slipping on a favorite old pair of jeans. Even if I stop in for a quick growler fill, it is always an enjoyable, friendly, fun environment.
