This is a masterpiece compared to the other Greyton brews. While the nose is non-existent, the taste is very enjoyable. Piney bitterness balanced nicely by malt backbone, but avoids being sweet. Smooth finish makes this DIPA almost refreshing ?! Would definitely drink again, would like to try on tap. Reach for this over any of the other Grayton staples.

Pours an almost clear deep amber/pale brown with some sediment in the bottom of the glass. The pour produces 2 fingers of beige, frothy, somewhat lasting head that leaves a thin collar & a ring of thin, webby lace. Aroma is pineapple, grapefruit, orange & floral hoppiness balanced with full notes of raisin, caramel malt & rye spice. Taste is up front hoppy tropical fruit & citrus hops balanced with a dark fruit raisin hint, & full bodied rye spice backed by caramel sweetness. Finishes sweet & juicy then drying ever so slightly to give a light bitterness that intensifies & lingers in the somewhat astringent aftertaste. Alcohol while somewhat hidden in the nose is very prominent in the mouth manifesting as bittering, dryness & spice but only a hint of warmth. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, juicy but with a light prickle, remaining wet until the dryness kicks in the aftertaste.

Flock that beer Grayton, the beer looks like a terrible homebrew. It is missing a nose, mouth feel and it has mild bite even Roggenbier has more punch. Would not recommend at all.

Beautiful deep brown color, not much on the nose. East coast-style for sure. Malty, with carmel and raisin notes. The malt backbone overlies a light hoppiness. In a blind tasting, I would never have guessed rye- can't taste that. Nice beer, I'll enjoy the 4 pack, but won't seek it out again unless I'm in the Florida panhandle.

L-dark amber with a red tint when held up to the light, and it has a small tan head that leaves a spotted lace
S-hops that has a pine aroma, and it has a rye and malt aroma coming in
T-smooth malt and hops mixture that turns into a very bitter hop aftertaste that fades slowly
F-medium carbonation and medium body
O-has a good hop bitterness that stays with you for a while. If you like hops this is the beer
