Had on tap at seafood restaurant for Mother's Day. Poured a bright and clear yellow with no head.
Bitter fruit aroma dominated.
This one can best be described as dank - prevalent flavors of grapefruit and astringent bitterness on the palate. I was very pleased with the body as it was not as thin as many "session" IPAs can be. Overall, not something I would seek out, but it went well with the fried grouper.

Bringing a citrusy upgrade to the standard American IPA, Grayton Beer brings a generous amount of Ctira hops to a bright, clean and refreshing IPA.
30A IPA pours with a bright golden-straw before building airy, creamy, cottony white froth. Its equally bright scent of clean citrus, herb and hop spice bring an inviting citronella character to the nose. Gentle sweetness greets the tongue with a light suggestion of wafer, honey and lightly toasted shortcake.
But as the ale unfolds on the middle palate, the story quickly becomes about the hops. A clean taste of tangerine wraps around more nuanced flavors of pink grapefruit, mild mango and light apricot. Quickly dropping its malty balance, the ale races into a brisk bitterness that closes the session with a sprucy, grassy and herabal finish that's akin to hemp.
Medium light in body, the beer's focus on clean bitterness allows the body and malty weight to recede in favor of a refreshing, highly drinkable and thirst quenching session. Finishing firmly bitter, the beer lingers with a sense of herb and tea.

I tried this at the pub just of A30 near Grayton beach. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that did not leave much lace. The scent included pine and citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a decent. beer.

8/5/20 at Acme Oyster House, Destin on tap. Pretty refreshing and lighter than most IPAs. Would buy again.

Grayton 30A IPA has a thick, white head, a semi-clear, bubbly appearance, and moderate glass lacing. The aroma is of fruity, hop resins and pale malt. The flavor is similar, with bitterness that doesn't seem to be up to the 70 IBU level. The body is medium, and Grayton 30A finishes on the dry side.
