Gravity cask halfpint at the London Drinker festival.
A: Black body with milky brown highlights; one finger of fine tan froth. Good retention and lacing. Nice.
S: Chocolate malt and heavy dates. A touch earthy. Solid.
T: Follows the nose - chocolate, dark fruits, and smooth sweetness on the back end. Just enough coffee roast to dry out the aftertaste. Nice complexity for a session stout.
M: Light and lively. Great carbonation for gravity, but lacking in body - even for a 4.0% beer.
O: Enjoyable but not memorable.
