Copenhagen 1/5 2023. 33 cl, small chubby bottle from Belgisk Bryg, Emdrup Mosevej, Kbh. NV. White and red label with a golden firetruck in the background.
Pours unclear, pale yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Crawling up the ides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a distinct rough bitter scent. Sweet pale malts, alcohol and yeast with a humid musty scent. Sharp citrus and grass. Whiff of tart, unripe berries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
A quite bitter and unforgiving Belgian.
