Now this is more what an American Wheat should taste like-- crisp with a pleasant malt flavor and a whiff of hops. This should be the great American light beer. A warm toast flavor but everything is elegantly subdues. Only after some sipping does a twinkle of bitterness appear at the finish.
Attractive dark gold color with a long-lasting foam in the Crooked Line tulip. Endless streaming bubbles and lacing along the glass. Zingy with carbonation.
Tremendously drinkable. Another reason to try anything from El Segundo. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bine & Vine in San Diego.

Pours a hazy golden-yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of wheat, grain, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with wheat and grain flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is easy to drink, but it's fairly boring with mainly wheat and grain aspects all around.

Hmmm first beer I've reviewed under the "new rules"
Appearance is awesome for a wheat ale. A cloudy ale, reminiscent of of a beer right before the keg kicks. The head sticks around for a bit, a frothy white emitting smells of magnificent balance of wheat/hops. The aroma is awesome!
Taste is pure quality. I get a nice swig of fresh water mixed with a splash of citrusy hops up front. The wheat shines in right after that with a peppery crust, bread like character. Overall this beer rocks and I'm glad I got more than one bottle. The wheat pale ale is really starting to win me over- we have a couple great options out here in so cal- fortunate islands and lil sumpin are hoppier than this here sleek zeek- but this balance of wheat and hops is exactly what I've been looking for
