Poured from a 16oz can (dated 1/26/26) into a Waterford IPA glass. Pours a slightly foggy golden orange with almost two fingers of white foam head. Citrus, blueberry, white wine and booze on the nose. Taste follows but is somehow smoother, less boozy. It’s got some bitterness as it warms but this is damn impressive for 13% abv. Thick, full mouthfeel. This is surprisingly drinkable. I wouldn’t say it’s crushable but at 13% this could have easily been a hot mess. Instead it is really good.

Not even 3 weeks old. The can says 13.1% abv, not 13.2%. I don't think I've ever had a Quadruple IPA - I know it's just a matter of semantics, but 13.1% is a big-ass IPA. The alcohol is evident, but I have to say that it's remarkably NOT overly sweet. I had an equally fresh Power Plant last night, and this is right in line, if a little hotter, both very well done.

1/26/24 Batch! Sweet tropical hoppy, white wine grape, orange-tangerine citrus, and a combo of a piney, Nelson-dank and Mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a sweet tropical hoppy and piney-dank bitter finish. Yum! So impressed with Power Plant series! The addition of Nelson really works here...this is outstanding!

I think of this of this as less an IPA and more a hoppy blonde barleywine. El Segundo describes it as designed to overwhelm the senses, and yeah, it does, but in such wonderful ways.

Pours a clear golden yellow with adequate foam in the Chimay chalice. I thought I should have asbestos gloves to handle this. So hot, like a vodka shot with some kind of Ukrainian bitter herb. I think the alcohol overwhelms the aroma. The flavors are quite clean, however, and it's quite an experience. Tastes of mango, orange, lime peel, and peach but mostly booze. I wouldn't say this is all that much fun, but for the ridiculous alcohol content and bales of hops, it's quite sippable. More likely I'll use it to flavor some less well-endowed beers. Their triple IPA is much better, I think. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine.Dated 1/23/23, as fresh as it gets.
