Seco Brut IPA is light on body but big on flavor. Super "dry", but don't be fooled amigos, it's a real thirst quencher... the kind of beer that's perfect for hot sunny days and afternoon bbqs. Salud!

Clear, clean, and crisp with a modest limey hop taste. Pours with a nice pile of foam on the golden brew in the Crooked Line tulip. Body is fairly thin but the exuberance of carbonation makes it a mouthful. Aromatic with a bit of pineapple and citrus peel.
This is just slightly bitter, with the hop flavors fading in and out, so maybe it's a new world of drinkability for IPAs. I can still count the number of Brut IPAs I've had on one hand, but this is the best of the bunch so far. Frothy and zingy with a light aromatic hop. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market in San Diego.

Bottle dated 9/4, drank 10/16.
Pours a very pale, clear gold with a head that almost instantly disappeared.
Nose is yeasty, some sweet candied pineapple
Taste is yeasty, crackery, very dry and astringent. Pine and a bit of citrus
This is a crisp, dry beer, as you'd expect from the style. Although the body feels a bit watery, it hides the 6.7% alcohol well. Has a bitter finish that sticks to your tongue.
I've only had a few brut IPA's, but this seems to be a good representation of the style. I picked up less tropical fruit than other reviewers, not sure if freshness is an issue. 6 weeks is well within ESBC's drinking window, and it was stored in a refrigerator cooler.

Poured from the bottle into a shaker pint glass. Boo hisss. Bottled September 4th. My first Brut IPA.
Beaming and shiny crystal clear bright brass yellow body. Virtually no rising carbonation, mirror finish reaching a thick but very fine soapy bleach white three finger head. Styrofoam like top, big retention and strangely adjunct lager looking but far better.
Clean crisp and fruity aroma. Light touches of pineapple and tropics. Crisp faint caramel without toffee thickness. Hints a little fine apricot.
Palate is real interesting. Classic West coast feel and flavor, more on muted pineapple but with a very light icing sugar powder. Aftertaste is bone dry, but without burning crispness. Muted finish/feel, a bit of steely grapefruit and sharp steely bitterness on the swallow.
Fun beer, fun style, from a favorite West coast brewery. Keep em coming!

Poured from a 22oz bottle to clean snifter glass - the bottling date was 3 weeks ago.
It looks like a classic german pilsner in the glass, that contrast of clear gold liquid with the cotton white head is a beautiful thing. Delicious aroma of tropical fruit and pine, bursting with freshness. Taste is grapefruit balanced with slightly sweet bread, finish is nicely influenced by the hoppy bitterness. Feel is really crisp, it seemed over-carbonated initially, but as I enjoyed the lingering last sips it was quite nice.
My experience with IPA is that IT HAS TO BE FRESH!! There are perhaps 100 that I've tried that had potential to please, but virtually all of the ones that I've truly been amazed by were enjoyed within a month or two from bottling. If you get a chance to try this one after a recent bottling, you will not be disappointed. Cheers!

Poured from a 22-ounce bottle, dated 9/4/18, a crystal clear, light gold under a solid one-finger thick white head which fades to the rim and leaves splotchy lace. Aroma is lemony citrus, yeasty, with faint tropical fruit notes. Flavor is piney and citrusy with some malt backbone. Semi-moderate body and semi-full carbonation. Finishes dry and prickly. Hops used include Citra, El Dorado, and Rakau. Very drinkable. Salud!
