I didn't expect to ever find this again. Found a single in a random liquor store.
It's 3 and a half years old. I'm honestly impressed that it held up as well as it did.
Aroma is pretty skunked, but it still has some citrusy and melony essence. Specifically, I get notes of honeydew, tangerine, white grape, papaya and pine.
The taste is closer to what I expect from a 6 month old IPA. It's definitely not fresh, but I really expected much worse. Its about on par with your average Lagunitas IPA in flavor.
And the mouthfeel is still quite crisp and dry. It's actually kinda refreshing if you ignore that old hop funk.
I hope I get to have this fresh someday again, but in the meantime, I'm glad I Found it!

Clear bright yellow-amber brew with plenty of foam in the Ommegang chalice. Light body and spritzy on the tongue. Aroma of green melon. grapes, and a whiff of pine. Flavors include green apricot, citrus peel, and a touch of wood. Hops are listed as Centennial, Chinook, and Simcoe.
Overall this is a pleasant sipping IPA with smooth taste, moderate bitterness, and long-lasting aromatics. More austere than in your face, but plenty hoppy. From the 16 oz can purchased at Barons Market. Dated 11/11/21 on the bottom. My lucky number.

El Segundo does it again. And by that I mean that they brewed another pretty good West Coast. And that’s about it. I don’t know, a decent family trip to Disneyland, or walking Hollywood and Highland and not being accosted by a street urchin this beer is.
Be well, my children.
