A thousand miles apart, yet connected by a major interstate, two breweries are situated near a gas company on the West Coast. Is this a predestined collab? Potentially. Or is this common ground a convenient stretch to align marketing so we have beers with complementary labels? Probably! But hey, we’ll take any reason to collaborate with our friends at Fremont Brewing on a couple killer West Coast IPAs!

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Plenty of pine and citrus, soft underling tropical and stone fruit with a little strawberry, grassy herbal tones, ,
T: Resinous pine, citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and tangerine, light underlying fruity notes, passion fruit, apricot, peach, and a hint of strawberry, a bit floral, grassy herbal notes, bready biscuity malt, and a dry finish.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Took a little bit for this one to open up, but it's a really solid West Coast IPA.

Montegundo, canned 03/02/22, pours a clean straw color with a wonderful nose. Taste is fresh, clean, a little floral and a blend of hops. Simcoe, CTZ(Columbus), Amarillo and Strata. Very tasty beer. Mouthfeel is medium to thin and easy drinking. Overall a fine IPA collaboration. I would buy this one(if you ship to Texas), Many thanks to Raul Mondesi for sharing.

This one is like when the train goes into the tunnel in “North by Northwest”: El Segundo/Fremont shoots and they score! Yes, a weekend with Eva Saint Marie this beer is. It’s just there and wonderful, and wonderful and there.
