We obviously love Smog City and what they brew (hence this collab), but when the idea behind the collaboration is to work separately and one up every detail about the other’s best-selling beer, well then, this is all out battle! We went hoppier, Americanier, and, dare we say, downright more majestic than a pre-historic squirrel on their best day. Sure, the tiger may look friendly, albeit a little funny, but it remains a tiger with an inherent instinct to kill nonetheless!

Clear dark brownish red with abundant foam in the Ommegang chalice. Pleasant fruity note to the beery and malty aroma. Sudsy and prickly on the tongue with a substantial body. Rather sweet with an immediate hop overdose. Seems OK for a few sips, but becomes undrinkable bitter. This is the classic American Amber Ale: musty, sweet with malt, and overly bitter aftertaste. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine. Dated 5/30/23.
