Well, call Sheeba because cat piss has entered the building. And I know it’s a bit weird, but it’s totally a good thing here. This cat piss-like beer is total royalty. It’s like a gorgeous serval that has only drank Evian its entire life. Yeah, pure golden showers like your weird boyfriend Junior year at State (you know what I’m talking about).

awesome can of modern west coast ipa here, in collaboration with riip, who well, rips! and this is indeed a ripper, clean and light on the malt side, highly hopped but low on the bitterness, and with a neat layering of hop varietals, relatively southern hemisphere to me, but woodsy and kind of northwestern too, nice flow to it, immaculate freshness, this smells and drinks brand new, really nicely done from a quality standpoint. mid blonde to shiny golden pour from the pint can, relatively clear, very light, frothy white head on it two inches tall and lasting, racing carbonation, looks great. the nose is a tad understated compared to the flavor, which isnt commonly the case with these dry hoppy types, but here its mellow at first, a little white coconut, orange, lemongrass, heady sativa, and maybe like lime leaf or something, bright and fresh, green in a verdant way not an over hopped harsh way, lightly tropical without sweetness, and real basic on the grain side, dry and light but not thin either. the flavor is elevated, definite pineapple from the hops now, coconut, tangerine, and white wine grape throwing it a little new zealand, herbal and enlivening, there is an almost wet hop freshness to the hops that i love, like rubbing fresh cones, very modern and with held back bitterness, its crisp because of how dry it finishes and how light the malt is, like it could almost be lagered, has that ease and even refreshing texture, great carbonation here too. the hop profile rules, the beer overall is very professional, a less is more approach, and i could drink these all night long, perfect warm weather ipa as the last of summer hangs on here. elite quality, wish i had better access to their beers!
