2020-21 vintage
Pours with no head, clear lighter golden pils color
Nose plenty of the good Tilquin lambic/gueuze funk, musty barnyard funk, a big musty concord grape like notes, but a sweet fruity white wine as well
Taste comes on sour, more souring bacteria and mild barnyard funk, various tart fruit, then grape must, a little skin, more of the sweet Riesling-like Gerwurzt, sweet fruity white wine, little vanilla, quite tart, a mild flemmy finish
Mouth is med bod, med carb
Overall I enjoyed this one, def got a nice character from the grapes, with nice overall sourness

Poured from 375mL corked & caged bottle into my BeerAdvocate teku. This is the 2020|2021 version, best before 3/6/2031.
Appearance: light golden hue with a light, shimmery haze and a noticeable effervescence. The head isn't much, but still, this is a pretty beer.
Smell: a light sweetness with a dash of funk and a notable tartness. There's a pretty big vinous quality to this one, too, more than the other grape varietals in this series. This is not a bad thing!
Taste: nicely earthy up front; there's a dash of funk here that complements that well. Tartness is above average, but not totally puckering. The grapes are nice; I used to be a fan of gewürztraminer wine, so maybe that's carrying over a little bit.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good carbonation and creaminess for the style.
Overall: a very nice tart lambic. The grapes are definitely more forward than in the pinot noir version.

Bottle: Poured a dark golden color lambic with a small foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of funky ester with some tart notes and light vinous notes with faint residual sugar notes are also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of funky esther with some tart notes and light vinous notes with no noticeable acidity. Body is about average with limited carbonation. More complex than I was expecting with nice grape flavors and a vinous feel and slightly more sweet than their other offerings.
