On cask at Moeder Lambic Fontainas during Tilquin's release event. The brewery didn't exist on BA at the time, so I'm just now getting around to uploading my review. I assume that this is the right beer, although the one I drank was not advertised as explicitly "Jonge". Poured into a Tilquin glass.

A: Fairly clear light amber body with a few floatines. Two inches of hugely frothy, transient white foam. It looks like what it is - a Lambic on cask - and therefore I'm excited.

S: Sweet + sour, with caramel malt, toffee, candy-apple, lemon, and light footy funk. Wow.

T: Follows the nose: opens with some pleasant sweetness, followed by big fruity sourness and some light funk. Very different from the draught Gueuze (which was nowhere near as sweet, and considerably funkier), but similarly delicious.

M: Still, light body. A little thin.

O: This one was a treat, although I would have liked it to be a touch more sour and less sweet. I don't mind maltiness in a Lambic, but this was definitely into toffee territory. Still, that's a minor quibble about its variance from style; it was a delicious beverage regardless.

Cheers!

Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation
Look: hazy golden color with no head
Smell: Sweet grapes, lemon peach and some horseblanket. Very fruity
Taste: Hay, grass sour grapes and lemon. Nice but not too complex. Almost bit too sweet in taste for my liking. Dry bitter finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with almost no carbonation
Overall: Nice lambic, nothing more
