Is there a better looking beer? Nit many! A lovely deep red body topped with a huge malty caramel head. Absolute winner.

Aroma is very good, a combination of spice, malt and a hint of coffee.

Taste is equally good, very malty, not too bitter and surprisingly light given its guts. Leaves a real lingering caramel and malt aftertaste.

Feel is ok, perhaps a little dry at the finish, but again given the 10%abv it probably was expected.

Overall, a very nice Quad, its only problem is the competition being so so good.

Dark brown colour with a decent and sticky head. Smell of malt, caramel and overripe dark fruits. Same flavours in the taste, with some liquorice. Alcohol is manifest, but not in a bad way. It actually gives a nice warm winter glow. Nice to taste a quad with some malt in its profile: a had a lot of dark fruit/alcohol combinations lately.

Prachtige quadrupel, vol van smaak en relatief droog in afdronk. In september 2015 uitgeroepen tot Lekkerste Bier van Brabant.

Now this is a very good made quadrupel from the low countries!

I had this beer during a tasting at a cousins place. The beers pours very nice in my De Molen tastingglass. Deepdark ambercoloured fluid with a decent head. The head disappears after a while leaving some nice lacing in the glass. The taste is soft and sweet, that is how i like my beers.

Bottle from the local liquor shop.
Look: the beer pours a dark brown-amber color with a nice brown head.
Smell: Malts, caramel, alcohol, brown sugar and dark fruits
Taste: Malts, caramel, brown sugar, spicy hops, dark fruits and some liquorice in the dry aftertaste. Alcohol is very sharp and unpleasant.
Mouthfeel: watery body, medium carbonation
Overall: A very simple quad, with a very unpleasant burning alcohol.

This beer is brewed for the Muifelbrouwerij and is the first beer.

Appearance is a deep, dark brown beer with a creamy, glass sticking head.

Smell is slightly vegetable with some roasted notes and caramel.

Taste is caramel with a good maltiness and roasted and burned notes from the dark malts. This also gives the beer it's maltbitterness. A bit of liquorice and a nice balance. Body is a sticky and the alcohol warms my throat. Aftertaste is dry and lingering caramel.

Great beer!
