From Saveur-Biere. In Teku glass. At dinner, with sausages bocata. Fresh and refreshing but without the taste, smell or aspect expected in a typical pils. Hazy and with citrusy, lemony notes. Pretty drinkable

From a 330ml bottle.
L: Pale, golden yellow. A light yeast suspension makes for an attractive, slightly hazy look. Visible carbonation is light. A one-finger, white head reduces to a few patches after a couple of minutes and leaves no lacing.
S: Clean, piney, and lightly spicey from Zeus, Simcoe and Centennial hops.
T: Has the clean, fresh taste associated with a German pilsner but those American hops add both pine flavour and a bitter edge.
F: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A long, dry, bitter finish makes for a refreshing beer.
O: The combination of pilsner malt, lager yeast, and American hops works well. Not a typical hybrid lager/ale. More a lager with a hoppy hit.

This was a much spicier pils than I had expected, but went great with a prosciutto/mozzarella sandwich. Generally a pils is pretty mild, but this one took a chance with the flavor profile. I'd try other beers from this brewery as well.
