Served on tap at a cool temperature at the Camden Eye in London, England. Supposedly production stopped for some time, but the waitress informed be that it had been specially brewed for distribution at the Camden Eye. Untapped has this as an English mild ale, and listed at 4% which fits the theme, so I'm hopefully that information is mostly correct. No other info given. Enjoyed after a long day of travelling in London, so I apologize if this review is a little biased.
Appearance - clear, rich amber color. Incredible two and a half fingers of loose white head. Tons of retention and curtains of lacing.
Smell - incredible blend of malt, brown sugar, caramel and dark fruit. Incredibly robust aroma.
Taste- light and fruity with some malt and just enough bitterness to keep it balanced. Fruit shines through as does the bitterness at the close.
Mouthfeel - super smooth, medium to light bodied and carbonation is light. Super drinkable.
Overall - a fantastic beer that was among my favourites during my time in London.
